Art Feeds 2022

Together with local artists, Welcome Inn is excited to announce this year’s Art Feeds!!

Art Feeds is an online art auction in support of our food bank and food security initiatives, and the auction site is ready.  The pandemic has caused ripple effects across our entire city, and the need in our community couldn’t be more evident than at our food bank.  In 2021, 18,230 visits were made to our food bank, dramatically higher than the 11,410 visits before the start of the pandemic.

Partnering with local artists, Welcome Inn is hosting Art Feeds from April 18-24th.  Local artists will be contributing works of all kinds, capturing both the beauty and complexity of everyday life.  Some of the artists will be donating their work entirely, and some of them will be donating a large portion of each sale.  Either way, you are being invited to support both our local food bank and the artists that make up Hamilton’s vibrant art community!

OUR CALL TO ARTISTS OPEN!!

Last year was our first online auction at Welcome Inn, and it was a stellar event.  All artists (except one) sold at least one of their submissions, and we raised over $7500.  This year, we have set two goals: to raise $10k and to have every artist sell at least one submission!  Artists get to choose to share either 50% of their sale with Welcome Inn or make a 100% donation to our food bank.

We welcome all forms of visual art: painting, drawing, fabric, clay, glass, etc.  All artwork must be ready to hang or display.

We want to thank all artists for your support. In addition to providing funds for our food bank, our goal is also to provide artists an opportunity to have their work seen and purchased by local supporters.  Any questions can be directed to here.
